1. Introduction
St. Anthony Public Schools is committed to integrating Artificial Intelligence (AI) in a manner that aligns with our mission "to educate, prepare and inspire a community of lifelong learners in our small, caring environment." This policy provides basic guidelines for the responsible use of AI in our educational setting.
2. Definition of AI
For our purposes, AI refers to computer systems that can perform tasks typically requiring human intelligence, such as visual perception, speech recognition, and decision-making.
3. Guiding Principles
- Human-Centered: AI will support, not replace, our educators.
- Equity: Ensure fair access to AI tools for all students.
- Privacy: Protect student data in line with existing policies.
